These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the MUGA browser extension ("MUGA", "the Extension"). By installing or using MUGA you agree to be bound by these Terms and by the Privacy Policy.
These Terms apply to the use of the Extension as a browser add-on. They supplement but do not replace the rights and obligations set out in the GNU General Public License v3 (GPL v3), which governs the source code. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and the GPL v3 regarding the source code, the GPL v3 prevails.
MUGA is a browser extension that:
<a ping> tracking beacons on link clicksrules.muga.app over HTTPS. The request is Ed25519-signed and sent with credentials omitted — no browsing history, no cookies, no identifiers, no request body. You can turn it off at any time in Settings, which returns the Extension to making no outbound requestsYou have full control over every feature. MUGA never collects, sells, or shares your browsing data. Any feature that contacts an external service requires your explicit action.
MUGA is maintained by an independent developer. To keep the project alive and free, MUGA participates in affiliate programs operated by third-party stores, including but not limited to Amazon Associates and eBay Partner Network.
If you opted in during onboarding, MUGA adds our affiliate tag to URLs that contain no existing affiliate tag. This does not change the price you pay. Affiliate tags tell the store who referred the visit, nothing more. The developer may earn a small commission from qualifying purchases.
MUGA does not collect, transmit, or store your browsing data. Every feature is transparent and configurable. MUGA has no analytics, no telemetry, and no crash-reporting services. Optional features that contact an external service (such as rule updates or URL shortening) never send your browsing history and require your explicit action. Your preferences are stored in chrome.storage.sync and sync via your browser account. They are never visible to the developer.
For full details, see the Privacy Policy.
When MUGA modifies a URL to include an affiliate tag and you navigate to that store, your interaction with the store is governed entirely by that store's own terms of service and privacy policy. MUGA has no control over and assumes no responsibility for the content, practices, or policies of third-party websites.
MUGA is released under the GNU General Public License v3 (GPL v3). You are free to use, study, modify, and distribute the source code, provided that any derivative work is also released under the GPL v3. The complete source code is available at github.com/yocreoquesi/muga.
MUGA is intended for general audiences. If you are under 16 years of age, you may only use MUGA with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, in accordance with Article 8 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Since MUGA does not collect any personal data, no parental verification mechanism is required, but the age threshold applies to accepting these Terms.
MUGA is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
The developer does not warrant that MUGA will operate without interruption or error, that tracking parameters will always be detected, or that affiliate tag injection will always function correctly. Website structures and tracking methods change frequently and may temporarily affect functionality.
Affiliate commissions are not guaranteed. They depend on the terms and availability of third-party affiliate programs, which may change at any time without notice from the developer.
EU consumers: Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes your mandatory statutory rights under applicable consumer protection law, including the rights provided under Directive 2011/83/EU (Consumer Rights Directive) and applicable national legislation implementing it. Statutory warranty rights and rights of withdrawal, where applicable, remain unaffected.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of or inability to use MUGA.
This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence under Spanish law.
The developer may update these Terms from time to time. When material changes are made:
Non-material changes (such as formatting or clarifications that do not alter your rights) may be made without re-acceptance, but the updated document will always be available inside the Extension.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Spain. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be submitted to the competent courts of Spain.
If you are a consumer habitually resident in the European Union, you additionally enjoy the protection afforded by the mandatory provisions of your country of residence. Nothing in these Terms affects your right to rely on those provisions.
The European Commission provides an Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform. You can use this platform to seek out-of-court resolution of disputes related to online services.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving its original intent.
